When writing these tutorials for the iPad, I’ve found the phrase “a picture is worth a thousand words” to be accurate. However, if I’m talking about something on the iPad, how do I take a screenshot on the iPad? Is it even possible? The answer to that question is Yes! Simply follow the steps below to take a screenshot on your iPad

1) Click the Power button on the top right corner of your iPad, and while holding it down, tap or click the “iPad Button”. Don’t hold the iPad button down, just press and release it.

2) The screen will flash and the iPad will make a clicking sound, similar to a camera when it takes a picture.

3) Now open your Photos application, and your snapshot or screenshot should be displayed in the list.

4) Tap the photo to view it full screen.

Is it possible to rotate the photo on the iPad after its been saved?

Although you would think in a product this intuitive the ability to rotate a photo in the Photo gallery would be built-in. Sadly, it is not. However, as they say, there’s an app for everything!

Two of the more popular apps for photo editing which also have the ability to rotate a photo are:

Photoshop Express for the iPad Photoshop Express

PhotoPad

Both of these applications let you rotate the image and much more. So, although it would seem the ability to rotate an image in the iPad photo is a no brainer of a function. At least we have the ability to do it through an app.
